Kaleb and the team were so helpful, patient, and enthusiastic all the way through our cabin planning and build process, and the result is an incredibly high-quality, affordable home that we LOVE, and that has allowed us to take our first steps on the property ladder while enjoying a low-maintenance lifestyle in the countryside.

Everything about our experience with Koru Cabins was perfect - from their speedy communication, to the quality of their materials and craftsmanship, and the price!

We bought from Koru Cabins without ever visiting their yard, or even stepping foot inside a tiny house (!), but Kaleb's great advice has meant we wouldn't change a thing.

Little things we love about our Koru cabin:
- The workmanship is spot-on. It looks quality because it is.
- It's really solid. We opted for a raised bed frame
- it hasn't squeaked or creaked once.
- We were able to customise so much. We're so glad we opted for extra windows and our own flooring choice, it makes it 'home'.
- The layout is perfect. We wouldn't change it.
- It's really well insulated, we saved a fortune in heating over the winter.
- It's not a 'beast' of a tiny house. We didn't want a double-decker, or a tiny house verging on a mansion.
- It feels *roomy*. We had no idea it would be this comfortable and spacious.

There are loads of tiny house builders in NZ, but these guys will really look after you."

The joinery is superb and the finish on the interior walls and windows is faultless. Caleb, Allison and Steve are amazing. "We made the decision to move into a tiny house / cabin on our family’s section to save for a deposit. We looked at quite a few companies but they were very expensive and then we looked at renting one, but the availability was very low and the service was very average to be honest. So we were pretty gutted that we were going to be stuck a bit longer in our 3 bdrm house which is cold and damp all year round,  and costing us heaps in rent.

We searched the net one more time and found Koru Cabins on Trade Me, I was pretty much sold from the get go (from their in-depth description and photos), but I contacted them and spoke to Alison a few times over the following weeks. Alison was a pleasure to work with and happily held the cabin for us, and answered whatever questions we had even once we had already agreed to buy it. We didn’t even look at the cabin before buying (being very far away from us) but I could tell over the phone that these guys were to be trusted, that the cabin was going to be genuinely well built, and that we were making the right decision. The workmanship of the cabin was even better than we expected! It's built solid but also very tidy and you can tell they use quality materials/ fixtures and pay attention to detail. 

We’ve been living in our cabin for over a month now and love it, its so warm and cosy and doesn’t even feel small, and it’s great for us to actually be able to own our own ‘house’ – we are very proud of our place and highly recommend Koru Cabins to anyone thinking of getting a cabin."

“Buying a Koru cabin was one of our best life choices! We loved living in the cosy little home for 4 years! Allan easily squeezed it into our parent’s back yard as part of the delivery and it was actually nice to be close to family for a change.

It helped us save over 10k per year on rent, and it brought us to our goal of buying our first house. We were sad to see it go but selling it was also a pleasure as now someone else can love it too.”

"We recently brought a Koru cabin and couldn’t be happier with it. We had a very specific spot in
mind so wanted to be able to move the window and add a wall and an extra door as I work from home and this is my office \ guest house so it had to fit a tight brief. Koru cabins were really accommodating helping us work out our perfect cabin design layout and working with us to achieve a new fresh space that fits our spot and needs perfectly. 

We really liked the look of the cabins as we had looked around and found many other cabins, to be lacking in regards to the finish, the overall look, and quality.

This was also noted when we had the local contractor come to our property to lift the cabin onto the piles we had made. The contractor got everything all ready to lift the cabin and shocked us by saying “Wow that’s a really well built cabin, usually when we lift these types of buildings the floor bows/sags and the whole thing usually looks a lot more flimsy!” We couldn’t believe this is the norm and are very glad we chose one of the Koru cabins as it was important to us to buy a cabin that was well built to today's building standards, fully insulated and ready to go.

I would recommend these cabins to everyone and if the need arises in the future Koru cabins will be my first stop."
